Why is one of my big toe nails going black?

I would imagine you would have mentioned it if there had been a history of trauma! In the abscence of having dropped something on your toe, it's more than likely a fungal infection which is treatable with over the counter medicines or ask an aromatherapist for some help. Why is one of my big toe nails going black?
You have probably stubbed it or dropped something on it

recently.making it bleed under the nail. Why is one of my big toe nails going black?
sounds like a blood blister or a serious fungal infection. is it thick and lifting from the bed? gross, but go to a gp and get some anti-biotics
Is the skin around it turning black also? Are you a diabetic? Diabetics can have poor circulation in their extremities. I hope not, but you could be developing gangrene. It could also be a fungal infection or an injury. Not sure. Have it checked out by your doctor.
You must have hit it against something, black under the nail is a collection of blood, nothing serious
