Why do we grow toe nails ?

Because they are part of our natural bonesWhy do we grow toe nails ?
To protect the skin under our toes...Why do we grow toe nails ?
So women can get manicures
Because we can't stop them from growing.
Hmmm...most likely, to protect our toes. For instance, cows grow protective, hard coverings over their hooves to protect them (and our toenails are actually made of the same cell material that the protective exterior of cows' hooves are made out of). If we didn't grow toenails, I guess human feet would be much more vulnerable...it must have been an adaptation from previous centuries. But, who knows? Maybe someday, because people wear shoes so frequently and don't need the body's help for protection of their toes, we won't need toenails anymore, and will stop growing them! Wouldn't that be interesing...lol

:P
we are actually supposed to clip them off once in awhile
